The Physie Year
February - June
The first half of the year is spent learning the syllabus and getting to know your fellow classmates.
July - August
INTERCLUBS
Interclubs are competitions between clubs outside your usual area and are a great practice run for those keen to do well at zone competitions or for new students to check their progress and get a competition under their belt. There are no expectations at these events other than to perform to the best of your ability and have a lot of fun doing it. Interclubs are always an enjoyable day with rewards for hard work on the day. All ages from 4 Years to Seniors and Ladies are able to participate. All Interclub competitors must wear a BjP leotard.

CHAMPION GIRL HEATS
Champion Girl Heats are open to all club members. They are BjP organized competitions held in various zones. We belong to the Central Coast Zone and the Junior Champion Girl Heats are usually held at Niagara Park. Five place-getters are chosen in each age group to contest the Junior National Finals in November and zone finalists that don't place have the opportunity to compete at Repechage. Coloured BjP leotards are worn at this event. All competitors receive a medal.

CLUB COMPETITION
Our club competition is a fun, friendly competition where girls compete with their fellow classmates. It is a very important part of our club’s Physie year for everyone from 3 Years to Ladies and we like every member to compete at this competition. The day is a great opportunity to show off all the hard work that has been put into the year and for girls to see what girls in other classes are doing.
November
TEAMS
This is the major event for the club as gradings are achieved through these results each year. A team consists of eight girls who are judged on their timing and standard of work. Team members need to be able to work together and attendance at extra lessons closer to the competition is very important. Gosford Woodport Club would like all members to participate in team competitions however it is not always possible to accomodate everyone. This competition is held in combined age-groups: 5/6 Years; 7/8 Years; 9/10 Years; 11/12 Years; etc. Black leotards are worn (juniors can hire them from the club for a small fee). Teams are usually held at The State Sports Centre, Homebush.
REPECHAGE
Girls that place a Zone compete for the opportunity to compete at Junior Nationals.
JUNIOR NATIONALS
Girls that placed at Zone and Repechage compete for the title of National Age Champion at Homebush.
SENIOR NATIONAL FINAL
Senior Girls that make the final in their age groups at Champion Girl held earlier this month go on to compete for National and Grand Champion trophies at the Sydney Opera House.

CHRISTMAS PARTY AND PRESENTATION NIGHT
Gosford Woodport's Physie Club Christmas Party is a fun way to finish off the year. The girls get a chance to get together one more time before the break and play party games and eat party food. After the party we hold our Presentation Night. This is a chance to reward all our members (regardless of whether they compete or not) for all the hard work and effort that they put into the year.
